Come join us for a scenic morning or evening flight over Northeast Indiana. Float over farm fields, ponds and rivers. Catch a glimpse of white tail deer bounding across fields, birds soaring below, and enjoy the wonder of lighter than air flight!
Your adventure begins when you are greeted by your FAA certified commercial pilot and experienced crew at the launch field. You'll watch with awe, as the almost eight story balloon takes shape from a seemingly endless stream of nylon fabric. You are briefed for your lift-off and as you majestically rise the colorful scenery begins to unfold. During the flight, with the exception of the occasional roar of the burner, the only sounds you hear are the sounds of nature or the envious people cheering from below. After drifting leisurely for approximately an hour, you prepare for the descent back to Mother Earth. Once on the ground, we'll celebrate your adventure with a toast of champagne.
Flight schedules are based on a first come - first serve basis. Reservations are highly recommended. We start flying the first week of June and end the last week of October. Evening flights are available Monday through Friday. Morning and evening flights are available Saturday and Sunday. Morning flights begin at sunrise and evening flights begin 2- 3 hours before sunset. Balloons do not fly in rain, fog, snow, or wind above 10 mph. These and many other conditions affect the decision to fly or not to fly and are considered to ensure a safe flight for all. The final decision to fly will be made by Wander Aloft Ballooning LLC.
Flights cost $200.00 per person. A $25.00 non-refundable deposit will confirm your flight. This fee will be applied to the cost of the flight. Although we are fully insured and have a 100% safety record, a signed waiver is required from each passenger to fulfill our insurance requirements.
